More Than a Door: 4Ddoors Becomes a Canvas for Incredible Indigenous Art on The Block 2025
As The Block 2025 in Daylesford races towards auction day, the five incredible country homes have revealed their final, stunning facades. 4Ddoors has been a proud partner this season, supplying each of the five properties with an amazing, fully automated 4Ddoor garage door, delivering state-of-the-art technology and security.
But on one house, our door became part of a much bigger story.
For Britt and Taz in House 3, the garage door wasn't just a functional item; it was a canvas. In one of the season's most moving moments, the Western Australian couple revealed their facade, which features a breathtaking, unique Indigenous artwork commissioned from local artist Troy Firebrace.
The reveal was a spectacular surprise. After first tricking their fellow contestants with a prank-wrap of their own faces, Britt and Taz peeled back the temporary layer to unveil the true masterpiece beneath. The emotional moment was made even more powerful by Taz, who spoke of his own Indigenous heritage and his deep personal connection to the project.
The artwork was commissioned from Troy Firebrace, a celebrated contemporary Aboriginal artist. His work is known for being deeply grounded in his culture and connection to Country, which he explores through vibrant colours and modern, abstract forms. The piece on House 3 is a stunning statement, transforming the entire facade into a powerful story of land, culture, and connection.
At 4Ddoors, we are accustomed to our products being praised for their quiet automation, security, and premium German-engineered design. But we were truly honoured to see our door become the centrepiece for such a culturally significant and beautiful statement.
This collaboration, which also involved the local Daylesford Aboriginal art collective Dumawul and the printing experts at Grafico, perfectly demonstrates how a 4Ddoor can be more than just an entryway. It can be a feature, a statement, and a piece of art.
We are incredibly proud of the vision shown by Britt and Taz and the stunning work of Troy Firebrace. As they and all the contestants head towards the upcoming auctions, we wish them the very best of luck.
